Happy New Year !! I was up all night partying, I had some sleep when I got home but I could still use some more sleep. FIrst off, I hope everybody started off their year with lots of fun. And hopefully you don't have to much of a hangover to read the new Pixelate.

We have a lot of new articles plus a new competition, hopefully the new competition will go better than the previous ones. You'll also notice that the game and tool reviews are missing this time, due to the fact that everybody was very busy these holidays they weren't finished in time. But expect them again in two months. The new Pixelate site is also up and if you're reading this issue then you most probably already saw it. If you have any ideas or comments then please feel free to send them to pixelate@allegro.cc.

On the new Pixelate site you can request articles, view most of the articles seperately (ok, ok - I'm still busy putting them on). You might also notice the (very) small banner on the top of the page. I know most of you won't like it, but I have to do something because my phone bill is getting out of hand. If you would like to advertise on Pixelate (or you would like a donation) then please let me know at pixelate@allegro.cc.

Remember Pixelate if for the community by the community. If you see something you don't like, or you want more of something then let us know and we'll try to fix it.

Request Time

To ensure that Pixelate will just get better during 2002, I'm going to need help from anybody who wants to offer it. If you think you can help, or if you want to help and aren't sure what you can do, send me an email at pixelate@allegro.cc and we can work something out.

Thanks, and a Happy 2002 !!

Competitions - If you have time these holidays and you want to participate in a competition, just for the fun of it then there are two you should check out. The first one is the Bi-Monthly Pixelate Competition, where you have to create a random map generator. The other competition is an interesting one, it's called Font Hack and you have to create a game using only fonts. For more info go to
